WORKSHOPS
DNA workshops are built around what is actually working in the industry right now — not trends, not nostalgia, and not filler.
Our curriculum is intentionally designed around the skills performers are being hired for today, with training that translates beyond competition and into real-world performance environments.
Every artist at DNA trains for 16 hours (OVER 150% the amount at any other convention) across dance, acting, and voice, because versatility is no longer optional — it’s the advantage.

COMPETITION

We provide a professionally produced, concert-scale stage (40'x60') where artists can apply their training, perform with confidence, and be evaluated responsibly — as part of a larger development ecosystem.
Divisions are categorized by:
-
Solos, Duos/Trios, Groups, Lines, Productions
-
Age divisions: Mini, Junior, Teen, Senior
-
Entry number and time limits enforced to maintain schedule integrity
Judging is always conducted by a panel of industry professionals — including agents, promoters, and scouts, — ensuring feedback and recognition are grounded in real-world perspective, not arbitrary scoring.
At DNA, competition informs growth. It never defines it.

AWARDS
Awards at DNA are designed to recognize excellence without losing perspective.
We honor strong performances through clear, structured recognition — including adjudication awards, Top 10%, Top 3, and Overall placements in each age division — allowing excellence to be acknowledged without turning the experience into a winner-takes-all environment.
Awards at DNA are not about ranking potential. They exist to celebrate preparation, performance quality, and professionalism — while keeping the focus on continued growth. Recognition is meaningful. Direction is intentional.

SCHOLARSHIPS | OPPORTUNITES

Scholarships and opportunities at DNA are designed to create access, direction, and real momentum. They are awarded intentionally, based on a holistic view of each artist — including growth, coachability, professionalism, and performance — not just scores or placement.
DNA opportunities may include:
-
The Triple Threat Program — an accelerated training experience for artists showing strength and potential across dance, acting, and voice
-
The DNA Ambassador Program — a leadership and representation opportunity for artists who embody professionalism, artistry, and community values
-
Legacy Lab — DNA’s long-term development and mentorship ecosystem, designed to support artists beyond a single weekend
-
Free Regional City Scholarships — full tuition to a future DNA regional event
-
Season-Long Regional Scholarships — extended support across multiple tour stops
WEEKEND FLOW
A DNA weekend is structured to build momentum — not burnout.
Each day is intentionally designed to guide artists through a clear arc: exploration, application, and direction. The pace allows time for learning, performance, and reflection, without rushing or overload.
The weekend begins with Foundation Friday, introducing dance, acting, and voice in a supportive, low-pressure environment that sets expectations and builds confidence.
Saturday deepens the experience with focused training across all disciplines, alongside a professionally run competition that allows artists to apply what they’ve learned on stage.
Sunday brings clarity — with recognition, feedback, and opportunities delivered thoughtfully, so artists and families leave understanding what was earned and what comes next.

AGE DIVISIONS
DNA serves artists ages 7–19, with age divisions structured to ensure appropriate training, evaluation, and experience at every stage of development.
-
Mini — Ages 7–9
-
Junior — Ages 10–12
-
Teen — Ages 13–15
-
Senior — Ages 16–19
Artists are placed based on age as of January 1st of the current tour year.
PHOTO | VIDEO
DNA provides professional photo and video coverage to ensure every moment of the weekend is captured with quality, consistency, and care.
All media is captured by approved professionals to maintain a respectful, distraction-free environment for artists and to ensure high-quality results.
For the safety, privacy, and focus of performers, audience photo and video recording is not permitted during performances or classes.
Official photo and video packages will be available for purchase when offered.
This policy allows artists to perform without distraction —
and ensures families receive professional, polished content they can trust.

LIVESTREAM
All DNA events will be livestreamed and available to view directly through our website.
This allows family members, studios, and supporters who can’t attend in person to stay connected — without disrupting the in-room experience for artists.
By offering a dedicated livestream, DNA ensures performances are accessible while maintaining a focused, respectful environment on site.
AGE APPROPRIATENESS
DNA is a youth-focused event. Creating a safe, respectful, and professional environment is a shared responsibility among artists, families, staff, and guests.
All artists, guests, and attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects respect, professionalism, and awareness of the environment.
DNA reserves the right to remove any individual whose behavior, appearance, or conduct is deemed an inappropriate representation for a youth-centered environment. This determination will be made at the discretion of DNA staff and event security.

CLOTHING

All costumes, choreography, and props used at DNA events must be age-appropriate and suitable for a youth-focused environment.
Artists and studios are responsible for ensuring that:
-
Costumes provide appropriate coverage
-
Themes and styling are appropriate for the artist’s age division
-
Props are safe, handheld, and suitable for a family audience
DNA reserves the right to review and restrict any costume, prop, or presentation that is deemed inappropriate for a youth-centered event.
These standards are in place to protect artists and maintain a respectful, professional experience for everyone involved.
SAFETY | SECURITY
The safety and well-being of our artists, families, and staff is a top priority at every DNA event.
Each tour stop includes:
-
On-site event staff and security personnel
-
Controlled access to performance and class spaces
-
Clear check-in procedures and credentialed entry
-
Emergency protocols coordinated with venue staff
DNA maintains a zero-tolerance approach to behavior that compromises the safety, comfort, or well-being of others.
By attending a DNA event, all participants and guests agree to comply with safety procedures and follow the direction of event staff and security at all times.
These measures ensure a professional, secure environment where artists can focus on training and performance — and families can feel confident and at ease.

PROMOS | INCENTIVES

DNA incentives are built to reward early commitment, studio loyalty, and long-term development
DNA offers:
-
Founding Season Access with priority placement and early announcements
-
Early Commitment Benefits for those who register within designated windows
-
Studio Loyalty Incentives for group and multi-city participation
-
Ambassador & Referral Benefits earned through leadership and representation
All incentives are limited, clearly communicated, and designed to protect training quality.
OBSERVER BANDS
Observer Bands are required for all non-participating adults attending a DNA event and must be purchased at the time of artist registration. Each Observer Band is tied to a specific artist or studio within the DNA registration system and is valid for the duration of the event.
Observer Bands allow approved adults to observe classes and performances and to access designated event spaces alongside their registered artist(s). This structure helps maintain a safe, monitored environment and ensures that only credentialed individuals with a clear connection to participating artists are present in youth-focused spaces.
All observers are required to wear their band at all times while on site. DNA reserves the right to deny or revoke access to any individual who is not in compliance with this policy.

ONSITE ACTIVATIONS
DNA onsite activations are designed to enhance the artist experience — not interrupt it.
Select partners and programs may offer interactive activations throughout the weekend that align with DNA’s mission of education, development, and creativity. These activations may include skill-building experiences, industry insights, brand collaborations, or artist-focused opportunities.
FEES
DNA fees reflect the quality, structure, and scope of the experience.
All pricing is clearly communicated during registration, with optional add-ons identified upfront. Studios are required to register and be verified with DNA before receiving full fee structure details and accessing competition registration.
